Have your bookmarks gotten out of control? Are you often frustrated by dead bookmark links? Do you even know which of your bookmarks are live and which are dead? Do you bookmark indiscriminately with the best intentions of going back later to cull, de-dupe, and categorize? If you answer yes to any of these questions, you'll love this free software program.
AM DeadLink is a handy little utility that helps clear-out the garbage from your bookmarks list. It finds all the duplicate bookmarks, and lets you delete them. It also finds dead links and colors them red. It shows you re-directed links and colors them blue. You can then view each bad link in the attached browser and either delete it or edit it to reflect a valid page.
TIP: It's a good idea to de-dupe first then run the dead-link check. When the check is done, sort by error code so you can quickly and easily decide which bookmarks to delete immediately and which ones you want to check-out and edit.
The software is small, easy to install and uninstall, and works very quickly. A Help file is provided, but you can pretty much figure it out by mousing over the toolbar icons. AM DeadLink can be used with Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, FireFox, Opera and Mozilla, and is completely free.
Download AM DeadLink now from the trusted CNet download site. You can read the editors review and other users' reviews while you're there.
