The United States Center for Entrepreneurship, a for-profit education company, is compiling a Lessons Learned list for small businesses. They’re asking small business owners to submit one or two examples of their most memorable mistakes, how they overcame them, and what they learned. The results will be used by USCFE in the classes they provide to paying students who want to learn more about starting their own small businesses.
There is currently no mention on the website of providing survey results to all participants. So what’s your incentive for participating? With your submission you can include contact information for you and your company including your website and email address. This puts your name, along with your valuable advice, in front of potential customers. You can also contribute anonymously. Either way, you’re helping new small business owners benefit from your experience.
To submit your story, access the Lessons Learned form here.
You’ll be asked to submit your name and email address. Select “Visitor” in the Description drop-down, and “Lessons Learned” in the Program drop-down. You’ll then receive an email with a link to click to confirm your subscription to the Lessons Learned email list. After confirming it, you’ll receive another email with a link to the survey. (You can unsubscribe at any time.)
