Evan Berlin
I am the Business Development Manager for PaySimple and am responsible for overseeing the efficiency and organization of business development operations.
My background: My background includes stints in the policy shop for a campaign for the U.S. Senate, as well as inside and outside sales for a best practices research and advisory firm. I have bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
Little-Known fact about me: I was Senior Class President and captain of my high school golf team.

Sarah Jordan
I am the Marketing Manager for PaySimple, where I am responsible for overseeing the online marketing—including lead generation, website content, SEO, and SEM—and offline marketing—including trade show collateral and print advertisement for the company.
My background: I started my career doing market research for a U.S. Senate campaign. After joining PaySimple, I held prior positions including Account Executive and Senior Marketing Analyst. I graduated with a B.A. in Business Administration from Carroll College in Helena, Montana.
Little-known fact about me: I grew up in a tiny town in Montana named after the valley where ranchers would “round up†their cattle. It was also the endpoint of the Texas Trail cattle drives into the state. (Think John Wayne in “The Cowboysâ€.)

Elissa Beckman
I am the Empowerment Director for PaySimple and am responsible for team member empowerment and development, creating and maintaining the PaySimple culture, recruiting, and overall human resources management.
My background: I have spent the majority of my career working for a number of law firms and the US court system, doing everything from research to human resources to overall firm administration. I also have worked on various psychology-based research projects, specifically on Alzheimer’s disease and autistic children. I held other positions with PaySimple: Senior Account Executive and Organizational Manager. I graduated with a Masters of Science in Legal Administration from the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Biology, with minors in Business and Legal Studies from Washington University in St. Louis.
Little-known fact about me: I was an Academic All-American at Washington University in St. Louis, playing both varsity basketball and softball.

David Sharp
I am the Vice President of Business Development with PaySimple, where I am responsible for leading the development and implementation of PaySimple’s horizontal distribution strategy. This channel includes a broad spectrum of companies, such as Independent Sales Organizations, which like PaySimple, aim to provide enabling technology solutions to small and medium businesses nationwide.
My background: I have spent the majority of my career in the payments industry. As Vice President of the Western Region for Global Payments, I was responsible for managing sales and business development activities for Global Payments’ merchant acquiring and network processing services for the ISO, processors, and financial institution marketplace. Prior to joining Global in 2000, I managed the southeastern sales territory for TransFirst, offering agent bank processing to the community bank market. I am uniquely positioned to help PaySimple broaden its distribution channel by leveraging these prior experiences with both a major public company as well as a mid-sized Independent Sales Organization.
Little-known fact about me: I was a non-commissioned officer in the US Army Reserve where I served as a Russian Linguist.

Eric Remer
I am the CEO of PaySimple where my passion for the company is to create platforms that help stars shine. I provide the overall vision and direction to ensure our platform continues to be an authentic, warm, empowering-based environment enabling all stars to succeed at their highest level.
My background: After starting my career in investment banking, I joined the millions of Americans who were inspired to leave the corporate world and see if they could make it on their own. Over the past 8 years I have started 3 companies and have gone through the joys, pains, frustrations, and exhilaration of entrepreneurship and business ownership.
Little-known fact about me: I dropped out of pre-school.

Lisa Hephner
I am the Vice President of Technology Development and am responsible for directing the design, efficiency, and development of all PaySimple products. Drawing from a mix of customer education, user interface design, new product planning, and business management experience, I identify market gaps and manage projects to address them.
My background: I have been working in the technology and marketing fields for over 15 years. My niche is in creating systems that help traditional bricks and mortar companies make strategic transitions into new technologies that will enhance their businesses. Prior to working with PaySimple, I was the Media Manager at Quatech, an Ohio-based computer hardware company, where I was responsible for traditional and Internet marketing, web systems and design, customer education, product manuals and user interfaces, and strategic product development plans. I received my MBA from Kent State University, an MA in English Literature from Indiana University at Bloomington, and a BA from Bates College in Lewiston, ME.
Little-known fact about me: Although I am now the VP of Technology Development and have spent much of my career with technology companies, I was originally an English major.
Jeff Gardner
As President of PaySimple, my energy is spent developing channels so that more small businesses will have the opportunity to save time, increase revenue, and help their customers by utilizing the PaySimple Solution. I am passionate about building an exceptional team that care and understands how we can help small businesses thrive.
My background:While growing up, my father had a small business and collecting cash was always his greatest challenge. As a result of this early experience, I chose a financial career path and joined General Electric’s financial management program. I later had the opportunity to start businesses within GE and Avaya. My passion for growing new businesses led me to join PaySimple in 2006.
As for education, I have a degree in Finance and Accounting from Penn State, and an MBA from The University of Virginia’s Darden School.
Little-known fact about me: I met my wife in a Japanese village during my last semester of college.
Allen Wolff
I am the Co-Founder and CFO of PaySimple where, from its inception, I’ve participated in every role at the company. What I enjoy most today is our ability to attract such a high caliber team to execute on our vision of empowering service industry businesses to adopt an epayments strategy. Today, as the CFO, I focus on PaySimple’s organizational and financial strategy.
My background:Prior to starting PaySimple, I started two companies and spent several years investing in other early stage technology companies. I have always been focused on developing efficiency for the business owner. I have BA in Organizational Studies from the University of Michigan and an MBA from the University of Maryland.
Little-known fact about me: I came up with the name PaySimple.
Chad Gardner
I am a Web Marketing Associate for PaySimple and am responsible for bolstering SEO efforts, utilizing emerging social media technology to create and monitor our collective web presence, and helping provide small businesses with valuable resources to make their lives more efficient.
My background:Having started my career in the midst of the social media boom, I began working for a start-up Internet television company in Denver, where I was responsible for reaching B2C targeted audiences by utilizing Web 2.0 tools. For a short time after that, I found myself managing a grassroots marketing campaign in Iowa and Nebraska, only to find myself drawn back to Denver.
Little-known fact about me:Having been raised near St. Louis, little makes me happier than watching the St. Louis Cardinals in October.
